Edinburgh 1694 – 1702 Mint-master [EN] Il Forrer (1902-30, I, pp. 554-555) riporta: His name appears on documents quoted by Burns and Cochran-Patrick in connection with a proposal he made, following the proclamation of the 12th July 1695, by which the rates of the silver coins were to be raised, that the altered values should be placed upon the coins. This proposal was rejected. During Denholme's tenure of office, the following denominations of coins were issued at the Edinburgh Mint : AR. Fortyshilling Pieces Scots, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1698, 1699; – Twenty-Shilling Pieces Scots, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1698, 1699; – Ten-Shilling Pieces Scots, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1698, 1699; – Five-Shilling Pieces Scots, 1695, 1696, 1697, 1699, 1700, 1701, 1702; – AV.
